FIXED BASE
A simple drop in plate to blank off the base of the rack.
ORDER REF: EII.BC followed by the width and depth of the rack.
GLAND PLATE BASE
As the fixed base but with a gland cut out and plate at the rear for cable entry.
ORDER REF: EII.GP followed by the width and depth of the rack.
BRUSH CABLE ENTRY
As the gland plate base but with a brush strip each side to allow cable access but reducing dust ingress.

PEDESTAL
100mm high pedestals provide a stable open base on which to stand the cabinet. They have gland plates on three sides allowing cables to enter from the sides base and rear.

WIDER CABINETS FOR CABLING
The Eikon II is available in a 700mm and 800mm wide version designed especially to accommodate the high volume of cabling involved in data communications installations.
Centrally positioned 19” racking allows mounting of patch panels whilst a gap down each side can be used for cable management. We offer various cable management solutions which are shown on page 7 of the catalogue.
The 700mm and 800mm wide cabinets are also available with full width racking which allows fitting of wider shelves for mounting servers and non 19” equipment.
REAR 19” RACKING
Front 19” racking is fitted as standard to all basic units.
Rear racking is used when equipment needs support at the rear and when shelves, chassis supports and telescopic slides are being fitted. Both are fully adjustable within the depth of the cabinet.
EXTRA BRACING STRETCHERS
The basic unit is supplied as standard with 2 pairs of bracing stretchers which join the front frame to the rear frame. The addition of extra pairs provides greater strength when heavier equipment is being mounted.
TOPS
STANDARD FIXED TOP / COWL TOP
Fitted as standard on the basic unit, the top is supplied in a lowered position but can be raised on 4 spacers for ventilation. (This adds 35mm to the overall height of the cabinet).
VENTILATED CORNERS
Should extra ventilation be required, the cabinet can be fitted with ventilated corners. These allow the natural convection of air through the top of the cabinet. Fitted at no extra charge to the basic unit. Please state when ordering.
FIXED WRAP AROUND TOP
Top is permanently fixed and cannot be removed. A plain or ventilated version is available. Fitted at no extra charge to the basic unit. Please state when ordering.
FAN PLATE
When forced ventilation is required, 2, 4 or 6 fans can be fitted into the top of the cabinet. Fans are fully wired and a cowl top is fitted as standard.
ORDER REF: EII.FP. followed by the width and depth of the cabinet. To order fans fitted use ref: EII.FK.2 (for 2 fans etc).
Standard fans are 120mm dia. 240V AC. We can also supply DC fans, other voltages and low noise versions. Thermostats and filters are also available.
BASES
OPEN BASE
Supplied as standard, the open base allows cable access and provides ventilation.
VENTED CORNERS
For extra ventilation the corners of the cabinet can be supplied with ventilation slots. Fitted at no extra charge to the basic unit. Please state when ordering basic cabinet.
CASTORS
The basic unit is supplied with adjustable feet (which add 35 - 45mm to the overall height of the rack). As an alternative, castors are available. Sold as a set of 4, 2 braked and 2 unbraked, 3 styles of castor are available.
WRAP AROUND FIXED BASE
Base is permanently fixed and cannot be removed. A plain or ventilated version is available. Gives a finished off appearance especially when wall mounting the unit. Fitted at no extra charge to the basic unit. Please state when ordering.
